SHF has funded research projects aimed at reducing disability and death from heart disease through understanding its nature and causes, as well as implementing effective public education and prevention programmes in the community.

Apart from assisting clinical research projects, SHF has also supported community-based studies, such as the Go Red For Women Survey in 2006 and the Heart Health Awareness Survey in 2006 and 2007.

To date, some of the findings of these research projects have been shared in 20 conferences and published in 4 journals.
