World Heart Day 2012

The theme for this year’s National Heart Week/World Heart Day will be “One World, One Home, One Heart”. In continuation from last year’s theme of heart health beginning at home, we will make 2012 the year of cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention among women and children. This is because, women are the gatekeepers of the household and oversee the health of the family by educating them about healthy habits and choosing what they eat. It is thus crucial for women to be aware of the dangers of cardiovascular disease and its prevention methods.

Let’s take a look at the activities that Singapore Heart Foundation has planned for National Heart Week/World Heart Day 2012.
