ABOUT

RESTART A HEART (RAH) programme is a simplified CPR+AED (non-certification) practical training session which focuses on hands-only CPR. The RAH programme is for those who do not require the certification but would like to learn some basic resuscitation skills and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants will be divided into small groups and guided by instructors during the practical session. The programme will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

SHF reserves the right to change the venue and training schedule in the interest of availability, equipment needed and class size.

 

TRAINING ADVICE

  • Participants who are pregnant (or suspect that they are pregnant) are strongly advised NOT to participate in the training.
  • Participants will be seated on the floor in groups and there will be some form of physical exertion during the practical session (e.g. kneeling on the floor to perform chest compressions).
  • RAH is not suitable for participants who have any obvious or indicated medical illnesses/other physical conditions and injuries that may prevent them from participating in the practical session.

Do inform us in advance if you wish to learn but are unable to participate in the practical session due to the aforementioned reasons. We can make arrangements for you to observe the training session instead.

 

ATTIRE

Participants are to be suitably and comfortably dressed:

  • T-shirt and pants / slacks / jeans (at least ¾) with comfortable shoes
  • For ladies – please avoid low cut tops, short skirts/dresses

 

LANGUAGE: English / Chinese (refer to schedule*)

 

FEES: Free

 

NOTE

  • Please inform us at least 5 working days before the training, if you wish to withdraw from the session
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the training.
  • Participants who are late for more than 10 minutes from the stated start time, may not be allowed to join the class and will need to reschedule.
  • Please note that this is NOT a certification course and hence, no certificate will be issued upon completion of the training.
