| The Singapore Gaelic Lions Athletic Club has named the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) as its adopted charity for the 2008 Standard Chartered Marathon. The Club’s adoption of SHF serves to honour the memory of club member Alan Power, who passed away suddenly from a heart attack on 20 July 2008. |
| With the money raised, the Club hopes to support SHF’s efforts to create a CPR-enabled population by empowering students with the life-saving skill of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through the CPR 3A (Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere) Programme. |
