Be Part of Our Research Study! - Invitation to participate

Date: Sat March 10, 2018

Time: 9am - 12pm (reg starts from 8:30am)

Venue: Academia @ Singapore General Hospital, 20 College Road, Singapore 169856

The study is a collaboration with Changi General and Singapore General Hospital researchers which involves comparing 2 methods of teaching CPR+AED skills. One method will be RAH, and the other will be “DARE” training. DARE stands for Dispatcher-Assisted first REsponder, and is a simplified CPR+AED training. You will have an equal chance of being placed into either the RAH or DARE grouping.  But you will not know which one until the training day. This process is called randomisation, and is important for proper research. Completion of either training method should enrich you with CPR+AED skills and awareness. In the study, data such as your name, other particulars, and your answers to survey questions will be collected from you. The data must and will be kept confidential. Informed consent will be required from you prior to participation.

This study is opened to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) aged 21 to 74 only. Participants are required to complete the training session only which includes hands-on CPR+AED practice.
