Oats contain beta-glucan, a type of soluble fibre that can lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol levels by binding to cholesterol-rich bile acids in the intestine and transporting them out of the body. Research shows that consuming 3 grams of beta-glucan daily may reduce cholesterol levels. This natural grain is also packed with antioxidants that can lower the damaging effects of chronic inflammation and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Apart from their nutritional benefits, oats are convenient and can be easily incorporated into your diet.
