At SHF, our mission is to promote heart health, as well as to prevent and reduce disability and death due to cardiovascular disease and stroke. For us to carry out our mission, SHF has been dependent on donations from organisations such as yours, to raise the much-needed funds to sustain both our critical and strategic lifesaving programmes. With an amount like $1,000, SHF can use this Gift from the Heart to help and educate the nation through various initiatives:
- Heart Support Fund – Financial assistance to needy heart patients for their medical treatment and emergency relief
- Heart Wellness Programme – Heavily subsidised cardiac rehabilitation for recovering heart patients and at-risk individuals
- Public education campaigns to reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease and promote heart health to the community, e.g. Project Heart, National Heart Week/World Heart Day, and Go Red for Women
