Make an annual donation of $1,000 or more to the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) to support our cause and join like-minded organisations to create heart-healthier workplaces. Together, we can empower employees with the knowledge and resources to prevent cardiovascular disease and prepare them for cardiac emergencies.

A Thousand for Good (ATFG) is a corporate philanthropy initiative by the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) that brings together like-minded organisations to promote heart health awareness and cardiac emergency preparedness in workplaces across Singapore.
Through a minimum contribution of S$1,000, organisations become part of a growing community supporting SHF’s mission to improve cardiovascular health through our three core pillars of Prevention, Rehabilitation and Resuscitation.
As a charity that receives minimal government subvention, SHF relies largely on public donations to sustain and expand our programmes.
Beyond fundraising, ATFG was introduced as part of SHF’s strategy to strengthen our outreach through workplaces. As many adults spend a significant portion of their time at work, organisations are well positioned to help promote heart health awareness, encourage preventive habits, and build greater readiness for cardiac emergencies.
A Thousand for Good is built on a regular giving model, as sustainable donations allow SHF to plan and continuously deliver programmes across our core pillars of Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Resuscitation.
We also recognise that organisations may have different giving approaches. Organisations making a one-off donation of S$1,000 or more are equally welcome to join the A Thousand for Good community and be part of our collective effort to advance heart health in Singapore.
Should your organisation wish to transition to regular giving in the future, our Partnership Development team would be pleased to discuss the available options with you.
Organisations make a minimum contribution of S$1,000 annually to support SHF’s work. Payment can be done via bank transfer or UEN.
Our Partnership Development team will then reach out to the organisation on their choice of complimentary health-health programmes and the necessary arrangement.
The complimentary heart-health programme can be from any of our our three core pillars of Prevention, Rehabilitation and Resuscitation.
Your contribution supports SHF’s programmes and services across our three core pillars: Prevention, Rehabilitation and Resuscitation
It also enables SHF to continue reaching more individuals through heart health education, awareness, community outreach and workplace engagement initiatives.
Participating organisations become part of a growing community committed to creating healthier workplaces and communities.
Depending on organisational needs and SHF’s available resources, organisations may have opportunities to:
All organisations who onboard the “A Thousand for Good” will receive:
A Thousand for Good is built on meaningful partnerships rather than transactional sponsorships. Opportunities for collaboration will be discussed and mutually agreed upon.
Yes. The minimum contribution to join A Thousand for Good is S$1,000. Organisations are welcome to contribute a higher amount should they wish to further support SHF’s mission.
As A Thousand for Good includes a donation component, SHF is unable to issue an invoice for the contribution amount.
Instead, SHF will provide an Appeal Letter to facilitate your organisation’s internal approval process where required.
Invoices are issued for the provision of goods or services.
As contributions made under A Thousand for Good are deem as a donation to Singapore Heart Foundation, issuing an invoice would change the nature of the transaction from a charitable donation to a fee-for-service arrangement.
For fee-for-service arrangement, it is not entitled to 250% tax-deductible.
Yes. As an IPC, eligible donations made to SHF qualify for 250% tax deduction, subject to prevailing IRAS regulations.
SHF will submit the required information for tax deduction purposes once the donation has been received.
No. If an invoice is issued for the contribution as payment for services, the amount would no longer be treated as a charitable donation.
Consequently, the contribution will not qualify for the 250% tax deduction; and
it will not be eligible for participation under A Thousand for Good, as the initiative is fundamentally a donation programme supported by partnership opportunities, rather than a fee-for-service arrangement.
