Register an AED

Calling all AED owners, Workplace Health and Safety Officers, Property Managers, and all who are in charge of the health and welfare of the people who occupy or pass through your premises!

We invite you to register your AED with the national registry of publicly accessible AEDs today. By doing so, you would be contributing directly to the government’s long-term mission of increasing the survival rate of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in Singapore through the Save-A-Life initiative.

OHCA in Singapore

Every year, over 3,000 people suffer OHCA in Singapore. On average, only 22.2% of these people survive OHCA, according to a 2020 survey by the Unit for Pre-hospital Emergency Care (UPEC).

We can change this reality.

When OHCA is witnessed, starting CPR+AED immediately has led to survival rates as high as 50%!

How will registering my AED make a difference to the OHCA survival rate?

OHCA is a fatal – yet survivable – condition. Survival is conditional upon the timely application of CPR and AED.

AEDs are of no value if they cannot be located and brought to an OHCA victim quickly.

The greater the coverage and visibility of publicly accessible AEDs in Singapore, the better a bystander can swiftly locate and retrieve an AED to save a life.

When your AED is registered with the national AED registry, it will appear in a live map that is hosted on the myResponder app. Community bystanders can save valuable time by using the live map to find the nearest available AED within 400m of their location or where the casualty has occurred.
