As we start preparing for the holidays, are you ready to jump in to rescue someone – should there be an emergency?
Large scale events, such as New Year’s Eve countdowns, Halloween parties, Christmas celebrations may bring joy and excitement, however, some could easily turn into tragedy, causing injuries or deaths. If bystanders could perform CPR immediately during an emergency, survival rates can be increased by as high as 50%.
Here are some steps to take to equip yourself to save a life!
If you never learn CPR+AED? Fret not! Here’s some essential tips you can learn to understand what is needed during a cardiac emergency, just remember DRSABC. Click here to learn more.
Anyone can save a life! Why not register to be a community first responder (CFR) on the myResponder app and be notified of cardiac arrest cases or fires within 400m of your vicinity?
The app allows you to report cardiac arrest cases, enables SCDF to dispatch the emergency resources to the scene sooner, or locate the nearest AED before proceeding to the stated location.
For companies that have an upcoming event, but do not own an AED? You may loan one through our AED on Loan programme, an initiative to loan an AED unit for any event on a temporary basis, at ZERO cost.
Companies that have the budget, or want to invest in an AED, you can choose to purchase and register an AED unit with us. By registering your AED with the national registry of publicly accessible AEDs, you would be contributing directly to the government’s long-term mission of increasing the survival rate of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in Singapore.
Train your staff in CPR+AED skills via our CPR Self-Learning Kiosk, an interactive CPR kiosk, or at a company-wide CPR+AED Certification Course – if space allows, we can even have the training in your office.
