Pledge Your Heart Walk 2024
On Sunday, 23 June 2024, at the scenic Jurong Lake Gardens, around 2,000 participants gathered for the Pledge Your Heart Walk (PYHW), a biennial event orchestrated by the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF); this was in accordance with the Go Red for Women Campaign. The physical event, held for the first time since 2018, encouraged women to take on an active lifestyle with their loved ones, and consequently, reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD).
The non-competitive 3km walk was supported by the Women’s Integration Network (WIN) Council and PAssion Wave Jurong Lake Gardens.
After a heart-warming welcome by the Chairperson of Go Red for Women Campaign, Dr Chan Wan Xian, the Guest of Honour, Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Ministry of National Development, delivered an inspiring address.
Also present at the event were Ms Nicole Battistessa, Managing Director of Nestlé Omega Plus (Gold Sponsor for Pledge Your Heart Walk 2024) and Ms Siau Jiahui, Mediacorp Personality and Yes 933 Radio DJ.
