National Heart Week/World Heart Day 2024
In conjunction with National Heart Week/World Heart Day 2024, the Singapore Heart Foundation and Limbang Grassroots Organisations hosted the Health Carnival at Yew Tee Heartland on Saturday, 28 Sep. The event aimed to raise awareness about heart health, with a specific focus on blood pressure (BP) management. The theme of the event was “Know Your Numbers,” and the tagline was “Score Right, Not High.”
Held across three venues — the Hard Court outside Yew Tee MRT, Yew Tee Community Club, and Block 563 Pavilion — the carnival attracted over 1,300 participants. The event featured an energetic opening performance of “Do the Hugo Pump” and speeches from notable guests, including Mr Ong Teng Koon, Guest of Honour and Second Adviser to Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC GROs (Limbang), and Dr Lin Weiqin, Organising Vice Chairperson of the National Heart Week/World Heart Day 2024.
