From 28 Feb to 1 Mar 2026, the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) held the Heart Safe Family Festival @ Punggol Digital District, uniting families, children and community adults in heart‑safe learning. The Festival marked the official launch of the Be A Heart Hero programme, building on a successful 2025 pilot that equipped over 1,000 young children with early life-saving awareness.

Parents also gained essential skills through an Infant and Child CPR Workshop led by experts from KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital (KKH) and National University Hospital (NUH), reinforcing SHF’s commitment to building a heart‑safe nation.

What is the “Be A Heart Hero” programme?

The Be A Heart Hero programme is a new initiative in life-saving awareness designed for children aged 5 to 8. Using child-friendly cprcubes and simplified emergency steps, it teaches young children how to recognise when someone needs help and alert an adult.

The Be A Heart Hero programme was conducted across 18 preschools, primary schools and student care centres during a 2025 pilot.
