Ingredients
- All-purpose flour, ½ cup
- Whole wheat flour, ½ cup
- Brown sugar, 1 tbsp
- Baking powder, ½ tbsp
- Salt, ¼ tsp
- Low-fat milk, ¾ cup
- Egg, 1 whole
- Unsweetened apple sauce, ¾ cup
- Banana puree, 1 medium
Method
- In a large bowl, sift and combine all the dry ingredients – both types of flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the egg and combine all the wet ingredients – milk, apple sauce and banana puree.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well, until smooth.
- Over a medium heat, pour a ladleful of batter onto a non-stick frying pan and spread it slightly.
- Flip and cook until slightly brown on both sides. It is now ready to be served!
