Donate Mindfully
Your kind gesture is an important and commendable contribution towards our meaningful cause. Even more important is the need to ensure that your charitable dollars benefit those you have intended to help.

Recently, we have learnt of several incidents involving unauthorised fundraisers seeking donations from the public in the name of our Foundation and offering a gift in return. These are not part of our official fundraising efforts and we would advise you to stay mindful of such fundraisers, before deciding to make a donation.

To ensure that your donation supports our genuine cause:

  • Donate only via our official website or verified channels.
  • Learn more about safe giving practices at: https://www.mccy.gov.sg/sector/initiatives/safer-giving.

Please continue to support our mission but make every donation count towards our genuine cause! Everyone has a part to play in creating a Safer Giving space.

Your donation will support our operations, promote our programmes that raise awareness of heart health, equip more people with lifesaving skills, provide highly subsidised cardiac rehabilitation and assist needy heart patients with financial aid.

Here’s how your donation can make a difference:

The impact statements above are for illustration purposes only. All donations received will be treated as “General Donations”, unless otherwise specified.

For every $1 raised by SHF through its various fundraising activities and events, we ensure that our fundraising expenses do not exceed $0.30. More information on the 30/70 Fund-Raising Efficiency Ratio can be found at this link.

Whatever way you choose, your donation will qualify for a 2.5 times tax deduction*. We welcome all contributions and will ensure transparency and accountability for all the funds that we receive.

For donor requests, please contact us at 6354 9340 (option 2).

* Subject to changes in the prevailing law, if any.

All one-time donations of $200 and above, as well as recurring donations of any amount, pledged and received between 15 December 2025 to 9 July 2026 will be channelled to our fundraising project “SHF Charity Cup Golf Tournament 2026”.

The Direct Debit Donor Programme (DDDP) is designed to encourage individuals to give small regular donations while promoting SHF’s programmes. The funds raised will help SHF build its capacity and reserves so that we have the financial capability to embark on appropriate and necessary programmes when the opportunity arises.

SHF engages the services of LadderPro Pte Ltd (trading under the brand SupportWorks) as our third-party fundraiser for the DDDP.

What is the SHF Direct Debit Donor Programme (DDDP)?

DDDP is a donation programme especially designed for members of the public who are interested in supporting SHF’s strategic programmes in the fight against heart disease. As SHF is a non-profit organisation that does not receive any fixed grant, we depend on regular donations to continue serving the community.

We discovered through our past interaction with the public that many people would like to donate to SHF more regularly but in smaller amounts. DDDP is an answer to that request.

How does SHF promote DDDP?

Our friendly “SHF Appointed Representatives” meet with members of the public at events, shopping malls and busy bus or MRT interchanges as disclosed in our public fundraising appeal on the Charity Portal, spreading awareness of SHF’s programmes in cardiac rehabilitation, resuscitation, community education and financial assistance for needy heart patients. The face-to-face approach also makes it easier for people who do not have the opportunity to contribute through other channels, such as visiting our office and website or calling us, to express their support.

What happens to the funds raised?

SHF uses the funds for its operations and programmes in the following areas:

  • Promote preventive measures against heart disease
  • Train more people in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
  • Provide rehabilitative and preventive care for recovering heart patients and at-risk individuals
  • Support community-based research aimed at gaining a better understanding of the landscape of heart disease in Singapore
  • Offer financial assistance to needy heart patients for emergency relief and treatment

Can I make a one-time donation?

SHF offers our programmes and services to beneficiaries and members of the public at heavily subsidised rates. Consistent funding is needed to sustain these initiatives.

Under DDDP, we encourage our donors to make recurring contributions of an amount at a comfortable frequency. However, should you prefer to make a one-time donation, we would also be most grateful.

We welcome all donations, and “SHF Appointed Representatives” are trained to accept both recurring and one-time donations. We do not set a minimum amount for one-time contributions, and all our donation forms have an option for donors to write any amount they wish to contribute.

How much is the monthly donation?

Monthly donations start from S$60. It is a small sum to put aside (only S$2 per day), yet it will go a long way towards a heart-healthier Singapore!

Every donation is highly valued and crucial for us to continue our work.

Alternatively, you can also choose lower frequencies of half-yearly or annually.

Note: “SHF Appointed Representatives” are NOT allowed to accept cash donations.

How can I make a recurring donation to SHF?

You can donate to SHF via a Credit Card (CC).

Alternatively, you can also choose lower frequencies of half-yearly or annually.

Note: SHF Appointed Representatives are NOT allowed to accept cash donations. We accept crossed cheques ONLY when the donor prefers NOT to donate via CC.

Why does DDDP have a recurring donation scheme?

As SHF is a non-profit organisation that depends on public donations, our programmes, such as cardiac rehabilitation, public education and financial assistance for needy heart patients, are funded mainly by good-hearted individuals like you. We need consistent funding to enable us to plan our work for the community. Your generosity through monthly donations will help SHF carry out long-term programmes to educate and leave future generations with a healthier heart and a better life.

About our partners

Which parties are involved in DDDP?

There are three parties involved: SHF, LadderPro Pte Ltd and SG Global Support Services.

We have engaged LadderPro Pte Ltd, a reputable international marketing company that is also working with many other Social Service Agencies in Singapore. LadderPro Pte Ltd sends small teams of trained fundraisers known as “SHF Appointed Representatives” to promote the SHF Direct Debit Donor Programme (DDDP) at pre-approved venues in Singapore.

SG Support Services helps us manage the programme’s administrative work.

Why are SHF staff not involved in carrying out the DDDP?

We would love to, but we are unable to bear the considerable cost of setting up a team large enough to manage and carry out the DDDP. That is why we are partnering with a market leader like LadderPro Pte Ltd that specialises in face-to-face marketing. This partnership enables SHF to save costs and channel much more of your valuable donations directly to our heart health awareness and cardiac rehabilitation programmes. We have a small team working closely with LadderPro Pte Ltd on this programme.

Why doesn't SHF use volunteers for fundraising?

Face-to-face fundraising is a regular, professional job that requires long-term commitment, hard work and specific skills. All “SHF Appointed Representatives” undergo intensive training before they begin work. While we sincerely thank our volunteers for playing a valuable role in specific fundraising activities, their commitments outside the time they generously donate to SHF mean that they are not the ideal candidates for this programme.

How do I know the authenticity of the representative?

All our representatives on-duty are smartly dressed in a SHF branded blue vest and carry an ID badge using a red SHF lanyard as featured in the sample photos below:

They are also required to carry a copy of the Official Letter issued by Singapore Heart Foundation. You can scan the QR code on the Official Letter for immediate verification.

Alternatively, you may also contact SHF directly and provide us with the full name or ID Badge Number of the representative you wish to verify.

A sample of the Official Letter looks like this:

Why am I receiving calls from the Donor Service team?

You may receive a call from our Donor Service representatives from time to time. The purpose of their calls are to assist you in updating your personal particulars#, share updates of our programme or appeal for your consideration in pledging for recurring donations for SHF through the Direct Debit Donor Programme (DDDP)*.
The caller IDs for these calls are:

  1. 6323 2012
  2. 6329 1480

Apart from phone calls, our Donor Service representatives may also reach out to you from these e-mail addresses:

  1. donorservice.sgp@sgsupport.com
  2. servicecare.sgp@sgsupport.com

Should you need further assistance to verify the calls received, you may email us at SHF-FR@heart.org.sg.

# You had previously signed up as a recurring or one-time donor.
*DDDP is designed to encourage individuals to donate to Singapore Heart Foundation on a regular basis, so that the funds raised can help support SHF’s operations, promote our programmes that raise awareness of heart health, equip more people with lifesaving skills, provide highly subsidised cardiac rehabilitation and assist needy heart patients with financial aid.

Does all the money from DDDP go directly to SHF?

Yes. 100% of all the funds raised go directly to SHF. DDDP is a safe and convenient way for members of the public to donate to us as we only accept credit and debit card transactions, and all the monies are debited directly into SHF’s bank account. SHF pays LadderPro Pte Ltd a small fee for the work done. Each year, we allocate a budget for various fundraising activities: special events, direct mailers and so forth. It is from this pre-allocated, strictly approved budget that this fee is paid. This fee adheres to the guideline under the Charities (Registration of Charities) Regulations issued by the Commissioner of Charities and contributes to the programme’s overheads.

You may find further details on the guideline here.

How do I cancel/stop my recurring donation to SHF?

Every dollar is crucial to carry out our awareness and rehabilitation work and we hope we will continue to merit your kind support. However, should you ever need to stop your donation, all you have to do is contact us through the contact details below. We will process your request immediately. However, please allow a maximum of 30 days for the termination of GIRO and credit card arrangements to take effect.

Note: GIRO donation is no longer accepted under DDDP.

How to ensure a Safer Giving?

As part of continued efforts to raise awareness and educate the public on donating safely, a refreshed Safer Giving Campaign has been rolled out progressively in tandem with the implementation of the Disclosure Regime.

The Commissioner of Charities (COC) encourages everyone to practice the three simple steps of “Ask, Check, Give” when responding to fund-raising appeals so as to be better protected against charity donation scams:

  1. ASK who the beneficiary is, what the donations will be used for, and how to receive updates.
  2. CHECK the Charity Portal to verify if the beneficiary is a registered charity or has disclosed its fund-raising details via the following:
    1. Charity Portal (www.charities.gov.sg)
    2. Scan QR code on the official letter from the organisation
    3. SMS “FROrganisation Name” to 79777
    4. Call Charities Unit hotline at 6337 6597
    5. To verify the fundraising appeals for Singapore Heart Foundation via SMS, please ensure that your text message is in the format with capital letters where applicable: FR<space>Singapore<space>Heart<space>Foundation
  3. GIVE with peace of mind once assured that donations are for a genuine cause.

For more resources on MCCY’s Safer Giving Campaign, you may refer to the Charity Portal.

The following information may assist you:

  • SHF does not conduct house-to-house fundraising. Besides our annual flag day physical event where details will be disclosed on the Charity Portal (if applicable), we DO NOT solicit for cash donations on the streets.
  • “SHF Appointed Representatives” carry out fundraising activities at designated areas that were disclosed on the Charity Portal. Donations can only be done via our Direct Debit Donor Programme (DDDP).
  • NO cash donations are collected on the spot.
  • All our “SHF Appointed Representatives” MUST carry an identification badge that clearly displays their full name and badge number. You may call SHF at 6354 9346 to verify if they are legitimate “SHF Appointed Representatives”.
  • All “SHF Appointed Representatives” must carry a copy of the Official Letter, which includes a QR code for online validity checks.
  • We also want to assure members of the public that SHF subscribes fully to the Code for Commercial Fund-raisers (Adapted for Charities) issued by the Commissioner of Charities. We look forward to the public’s continued support for our work to promote good heart health, prevent and reduce disability and death due to cardiovascular disease and stroke.
