FAQ

The CPR+AED Instructor course is a programme that equips CPR+AED certified individuals with the basics of teaching CPR+AED, such as core skills development, principles of practice teaching, effective question and answer strategies.

Course Outline

  • Class preparation
  • Methods of instruction
  • Effective testing
  • Equipment management

Upon completing the classroom training, you must undergo two compulsory attachments before becoming a full-fledged instructor.

If you would like to teach with Singapore Heart Foundation, you have to complete at least one attachment with us and another at any Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) Accredited CPR+AED training centre, or complete both attachments with us.

Certification
A CPR+AED Instructor certificate will be issued after completing the two attachments.

The certificate is valid for two years and is renewable once the instructor has assumed the role as an instructor at least twice per year at any SRFAC-accredited training centre offering the CPR+AED Provider Course, and subject to SRFAC’s approval.

Eligibility
A valid CPR+AED Provider Certificate (with hands-only and ventilation) from an SRFAC-accredited training centre is required.
