Celebrations for Lunar New Year took a new twist in 2021 with COVID-19 safety measures in place. At Singapore Heart Foundation, staff dressed up in bright colours and met via Zoom on LNY Eve, all eager to win lucky draw prizes!
Through the sharing of videos, we learnt more about the Chinese Zodiac and why certain traditional dishes are considered auspicious and a ‘must-have’ during the season. Everyone was also reminded to be conscious of overindulgence in CNY snacks during one of the games where we had to guess the calories in our favourite goodies like bak kwa and love letters. It was indeed shocking to learn that a serving of yusheng contains 561 calories!
Though we could not have lunch and lo hei together in the office, we managed to do a virtual yum seng (cheers) and wished each other good health for the new year! In replacement of lunch, everyone received a snack pack containing a box of cookies, a pair of oranges and some honeycomb & honey sticks from Royce Fruits Pte Ltd. Thank you to all our sponsors for blessings!

Each staff received a snack pack in line with the CNY celebration.
