Be A Heart Hero

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anytime, anywhere.

80% of cases often happen at home.

Young children can play an important role in helping to save a life when we believe in them and equip them to recognise an emergency and know what to do next.

Learning Objectives

  • Recognise an emergency
  • Know how to respond and who to alert
  • Gain a basic awareness of hands-only CPR

Target Audience

  • Preschoolers, 5 – 6 years old (K1-K2)
  • Primary schoolers, 7-8 years old (P1 – P2)

How is it conducted?

  • Interactive Storytelling
Children follow Benny and Jenny’s story as they learn how to respond to an emergency.
  • Hands-On Practice
Each child will try doing chest compressions on a cprcube.
This teaching tool helps them to experience the importance of rhythm and technique in a fun and safe way.
  • Format
30-min session conducted by SHF staff using PowerPoint slides, songs and role-play.
