Community First Responder Club
In 2021, more than 3,600 people suffer from Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest. Before the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)’s arrival, these emergency cases were quickly managed by members of public, also known as Community First Responders (CFRs).
The CFR Club is a platform to engage these volunteers, so that they could share their experiences and support one another. Through events such as Sharing Sessions and the CFR Fun Walk, members learn about emergency response, mental well-being and AED use. At the same time, they stay updated about programmes such as the Save-A-Life Initiative and the myResponder app.
