Oat Bars

Ingredients
Oat Bars

  • Captain® Classic Rolled Oats, 200g
  • 100% peanut butter, 70g
  • Pumpkin seeds, 30g
  • Chia seeds, 1 tbsp
  • Applesauce, 350g
    • Apples, peeled, cored and sliced, 3
    • Water, 125ml
    • Lemon juice, 1 tbsp
    • Cinnamon, 3-inch,1 stick

Method

    Applesauce

  1. Boil sliced apples, water, lemon juice and cinnamon stick over high heat before reducing to low heat.
  2. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Puree using a blender or food processor.
  4. Oat bars

  5. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  6. Spread oats, chopped almonds, chia seeds and pumpkin seeds onto a lined baking tray and lightly toast them in the oven for 5 mins.
  7. Mix the cooled ingredients with peanut butter and applesauce.
  8. Spread oat mixture evenly onto a lined baking tray.
  9. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
  10. Once baked, let cool before cutting into 15 bars.
