Staff Outreach Activity

Objective: Encourage school staff to monitor and maintain a healthy blood pressure.

Activity:  School can set up a BP Awareness Booth (unmanned) with the resources provided by SHF

How can you do it?

1. Decide on the venue
   • Space for a table and chair
   • Frequently accessed by school staff members (e.g., staff pantry, general office, staff lounge, etc)
2. Setup the BP awareness booth
   • All resources will be provided by SHF
3. Spread the word
   • Encourage your colleagues to measure their BP at the BP awareness booth and remind them of the importance of a healthy lifestyle

*Terms & Conditions for complimentary BP monitors

1. Staff outreach activity is only available to schools which have registered for a Heart Heroes programme for their students.
2. Schools that have participated in the Staff Outreach Activity in the past 3 years are not eligible to participate.
3. Each eligible school is entitled to 1-3 sets of complimentary BP monitors for the Staff Outreach Activity along with BP educational reading materials.
4. A photo of the BP awareness booth is to be submitted within a week to SHF to prove that the BP monitors have been used for the intended purpose.  
5. BP monitors will only be distributed to the school on the first day of the school programme.
6. Any malfunction/defect of the BP monitors should be reported within a week to facilitate an exchange.

Remarks: Schools may only register for only ONE programme type (class based/health booth /assembly talk) annually.
